DO THE RIGHT THING

Do The Right Thing is a movie directed, written by Spike Lee. This movie is a prefect example when coming to racial conflicts. It shows how many characterises there are when it is racism. That their is not just people that are racist and people that are not, there could be many others or feelings about racism. The main character Mookie is tyring to live his life by working as a pizza delivery and living with is sister but then he has a girlfriend and a son that ring in his mind too. Sal the pizzeria’s Italian- American owner, has owned the shop for years. His older son Pino hold racial contempt for the neighborhood African Americans. His younger son Vito is friends with Mookie, which Pino feels undermines their fraternal bond. The scene that i think is important is when the police tries to keep Radio Raheem in condition when they can't they kill him by choking him. This scene has been discussed by many people that watched this film. Its a scene that leaves you thinking in the end whether it is a racist act or not.

CHINATOWN

The movie Chinatown director Roman Polanski is a film that only seems usual all the way until you realize you don't know exactly where it's going in the end. It's about a man name Jake Gittes (Nicholson) that is a private investigator that has a case he wants to get to the bottom of. JJ Gittes the PI is hired to spy on Mulwray. Jake thinks Mrs. Mulwray is the one who hired him, but later finds out he was hired by a different woman. he then starts investigating who hired him and why. He comes accross many sides of the cases he as to investigat. Mrs.Mulwray's husband is killed and JJ Gittes is investigating it. Mrs.Mulwray knows something and she is not telling JJ Gittes. When Mrs.Mulwray and JJ Gittes get closer together he reviles something about the cases. JJ Gittes cames accros Mrs.Mulwray father and he says that she is a very jealous women and she is dangoures too. Mrs.Mulwray was hiding family prombles that relate to he husbands death. JJ Gittes had some kind of sence that Mrs.Mulwray was behind her husbands death. She is a very stronge women by the way she covered her daughter/sister from he father. I was shoked at the end of the movie by how Mrs.Mulwray was killed in the car. And JJ Gittes got away with it all. JJ Gittes was not expecting that he any wanted Mrs.Mulwray and her daugter/sister to get away from the father. Over all I liked the movie it was nice how i was shoked at the end and how the JJ Gittes got away with several things. NICE MOVIE!

Stagecoach by John Ford is a western movie and it is not that different in others but for one sence where the shot off is happening. Most western movies have it in the day light but Stagecoach had the shot off at night where no one can really tell who is really do ing what.

In western movies like all ways have a "respectable" person and a "disrespectable" person. Thats how you can identify a western movie. In stagcoach it has that in the movie. You can even pick it out from sences. The most identfied sence is when the characters are sitting in the dinning room table eating and talking. The respectable characters are: Sheriff, Lucy, Peackok, Hatfield. The disrectable characters are: Hatfield, Dallas, Ringo, Doc. Hatfield fited in both places becauce one moment in the movie he is respectable but the next his not he is disrectable. I likes the movie overall. I found it funny and entertaning in some parts in the movie.

M

The movie that i watched is called M Directed be Fritz Lang. When this movie first came out in 1931 it was a horrifying movie to see because it was bassed to be a scary movie. But now a days you can find way scarier movies to see. What makes this movie a scary movie that others thought it was scary is it mainly about haunting one man and it is Han Beckert (Lorre)

There has been child missing and murdered one by one after school and to school. The whole city knows about it even the little children. When the children are playing their circle game they sing a rhyming about a child murderer. The person they are hunting happens to be Franz Becker. He turners out to be the murder of the city, police and everyone was hunting for him. The audience can barley see his face, he mostly in dark shadows. The murderer buys a balloon for a little girl from a blind guy and then they disappeared. The audience can only see the Balloon going up which means the murderer has murdered the little girl. The Little girls mothers is worried why her little girl is not home with the other girls and it was getting late. Now the police and everyone is searching for the killer. One of the salesman figures out a way to track the murderer, they agreed to mark the letter M on the killers coat so that why they can caught him. Finally they caught the killer in a office building. He says he should not be punished. He ends up being sentence.

Throw out the movie you can kind picture what happens next even if you did not watch it. There are scenes that will shiver you. Like when the little girls balloon goes up you know she is died. When the mother keeps looking down at the apartment stairs you can tell her daughter is missing and something happened to her daughter. By watching this movie I can tell how it has been the famous scary movie at that time.

As I was sitting in front of the computer trying to read over our assignment for art of film. This is what Mr. Klobuchar wrote " I am leaving this open wide to see what you guys come up with". Well, I read the wide open part then i searched throw my mind it took me a while to get out a movie. When my head finally decided to write about Rush Hour 3 directed by Brett Ratner. I'm sure many people seem the movie or at least Rush Hours 1,2,3. If you did not seen the movie and you enjoy action movies you need to see this movie because it is full with Hilarius moments and it's about tracking the bad guys putting then were they belong. I think the movie does a very good job of showing team work between the two people that play the characters Lee and Carter. Bratt combines both comedy and action in to movie with crimes being the over control. The very entertaining and funniest part is when Carter freaks out after Genevieve takes off her wig. She looked very masculine. He thinks he almost slept with a man. It seems the directer and the character worked very well on the movie and tying to the other movies Rush Hours 1,2. I loved it, it is probably my all time favorite action and comedy movie.

While many Hollywood films in early and mid 1990s dealt with theproblems of black Americans, SET IT OFF was one of the few to dealwith the harsh realities experienced by black women -underprivileged group that, apart from racism, had to suffer from sexism, something coming from the both sides of racial divides.
